The Materials Management department is the quiet giant of the hospital. In the course of saving lives, hospitals must purchase millions of products and services each year. Those products must be identified, priced, negotiated, ordered, inventoried, distributed, analyzed, and managed. With such a large volume of activity, even the best people and systems can benefit from process improvements. Attend this hands-on workshop to examine case studies through to resolution. We’ll combine IBM Query, Excel, downloading, and system reports to address such topics as usage analysis, identification of purging candidates, PO aging, paring down nursing station carts, pricing downloads for vendor updates, and Master File reviews. Audience: Basic to Intermediate MM users, although advanced users may enjoy a good review. |
