GENERAL INFORMATION
Workshops are designed to give participants actual experience with the solutions or concepts being taught, providing a variety of hands-on exercises, typically on the iSeries using MS4 applications. However, as we include more “soft skill” classes such as Presentation Skills and Stress Management, the hands-on exercises may follow a different format. The exercises may consist of role-playing, class presentations, developing an action plan, etc., rather than sitting at a workstation. Whatever the workshop, you’ll be assured some type of interactive exercise and take-away to reinforce the instruction you’ll receive. We hope this year’s offering will provide you one or more workshops to round out your Vision activities. Workshops of this type are indicated with a special icon. ♦
Points of Interest
- Workshops are three hours in length and there are no Early Bird workshops.
- Topics of similar interest are grouped into categories (Clinical, Technical, etc.), but don’t be afraid to peruse categories outside your area of expertise. You might be surprised at how easily your comfort areas can be expanded!
- Take advantage of the workshop “volume discount.” Purchase three workshops at full price and get the fourth for $40. That means a $55 discount on the additional workshop! (This bargain is non-transferable.)
- Space is limited and is available on a first-come/first-served basis during the registration process.
- Your conference registration confirmation email will include your workshop selections.
- There will be one workstation shared between two workshop attendees for classes that have hands-on exercises at a workstation. Class capacities vary according to room size, but range between 20 and 30.
- Roll will be taken. A confirmed registrant will forfeit their seat if they arrive more than 20 minutes after the beginning of a workshop.
- All MIRA and select Clinical workshops qualify for continuing education units (CEUs). CEU certificates will be handed out at the conclusion of each workshop. Workshops eligible for CEUs are indicated by Δ . Please be sure to see the workshop monitor prior to leaving the workshop. Check the Website (www.ms4vision.com) for additional CEU offerings as they become available.
- Please refer to the “Workshops at a Glance” section under “Schedules” of this site to assist in your workshop planning.
