This session will cover the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) aspects of the American Recovery and Reimbursement Act (ARRA). It will include information that affects hospitals, tell them about the Medicare and Medicaid incentive program, and explain what the Meaningful Use Rule expects them to demonstrate and attest to meaningful use to receive incentive payments. The discussion will provide insights gained from participation on the HIT Policy Committee Meaningful Use Workgroup on what future stages of Meaningful Use may hold.
